The Many Adventures of a Thede

I had an eventful evening the other night. I was home in New York Friday night and my friend Marylin and I decided to go out for the evening. We went to dinner at French Roast and then decided to go bar hopping on Amsterdam Ave. As we were walking from The Gin Mill to Soldier McGee, Marylin said to me, "Hey! Isn't that guy from Project Runway?" And she was right! It was Kevin, from the most recent season of Project Runway, standing on the street, having a cigarette. We went over to say hi. He was really cool and talked to us a while about the show. We asked him what he was doing in the neighborhood, and he told us he was bar tending at this bar Fred's. He told us he was there every Friday. So, we headed on to Soldier McGee's, but a little later went over to Fred's and had a great time. Kevin was a really cool guy and chatted with us a bit more from behind the bar. I was also sitting next to a fellow LOST fan, so we geeked out a little bit, talking about theories, etc. When we told Kevin we were ready to go, he said we should do a shot together before we left, so he poured three shots of Jack Daniels, and we drank to Project Runway!

Oh...only in New York.
