There'll Be Parties for Hosting, Marshmallows for Toasting, blah, blah, blah

Christmas is coming sooner than you think. There's a chill in the air, the commercials for jewelry and plasma TVs have increased, and they've switched over to the festive red cups at Starbucks. And there's one more indication that Christmas is coming...my wishlist has been updated! Take a look, to see what to buy me this year! Or, if you're just curious about what I want.

I know that it's this time of year when people's social calendars fill up, but I am usually not affected too much. Not so this year. I've already seen one play this month and I'm scheduled to see two more (free through my work). This past week I went to see my boyfriend in Middletown, NY while he was there all week on an acting job. Also, my friend Sarah came to New York on business this week, so I got to hang out with her quite a bit, since she only had to actually work for 20 minutes while she was here. This past Sunday Bo and I went out to New Jersey for my cousin Theo's first birthday party (photos are on flickr). In the coming weeks I have a fund raiser, a house party, my six month-iversary with Bo, another trip to New Jersey for Thanksgiving, those two plays I mentioned (one is C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters and the other is called Trumpery at the Atlantic Theatre Company), two holiday parties, then flying to Ohio for Christmas which will most likely include a ski trip, seeing college friends, and a road trip to Illinois to see the family. Of course, this list doesn't include the every-day things I have to do like work, my church small group, and a doctor's appointment. Whew! I know what it feels like to have a crazy social calendar! But I think if you know me, you know that I get stir crazy if I'm not out of the house having fun a fair amount, so I'm more excited than overwhelmed by the coming months.
