Tonight I was watching one of my new favorite shows, Samantha Who, and there was a pretty funny flashback to Samantha's childhood when she played Annie in the school play. The girl playing young Samantha looked awfully familiar to me, but I couldn't quite place her with the big curly wig. I was trying to think...what show have I seen that girl in? Was it on TV? Was it a movie? Then it hit me. I KNOW that girl. We shared the stage at La Jolla Playhouse in the show Zhivago.
That's her on the right...Kelsey Smith. Or...young Christina Applegate. You decide.
It's weird seeing people you know randomly on TV, and I'm not quite used to it. It also happened a few weeks ago while I was watching 30 Rock, I saw this guy I also happened to work with on Zhivago, Chris Hoch, who was also hard to recognize at first because he was wearing glasses. He played a guy that worked in the accounting department at NBC. And all accountants wear glasses.
Oh! Here, I found a picture I had of Chris and Kelsey together. And I've modified it to be an artistic representation of what they looked like on TV.
